This public sector organisation works closely with government bodies and local authorities to ensure safety, sustainability, and environmental improvements in former coalfield areas. This opportunity is a permanent vacancy which is paying up to £57,242.00 p/a plus a highly competitive pension scheme with an employer contribution rate of approximately 28.97%. This is part of their comprehensive benefits package, which also includes flexible working options.Your new roleAs the Property & Estates Manager - Team Leader, you will:
- Oversee and lead a team to manage the acquisition, disposal, and maintenance of land and property assets.
- Provide expert property and land advice while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver efficient services that align with the Property Plan and corporate objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and support operational programs while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant degree or equivalent and have or at least be working towards MRICS membership.
- Extensive experience in property management, land acquisition, contract management, and handling statutory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- A proactive and innovative approach to property management, with a focus on achieving value for money and delivering high-quality outcomes.
