Long term futures is proud to offer this exciting new opportunity as an SEN teaching assistant based in a vibrant school in Mansfield. They are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated applicant who is keen to help SEN students. The SEN teaching assistant role in Mansfield will be full time with potential to go permanent at the end.

This long-term role involves providing tailored support to students with a wide range of needs including autism spectrum disorder, social emotional and mental health issues. You will play a vital role in the development of these students.

The key responsibilities

  • Assist with personalised learning plans to help assist in students' individual needs are met.
  • Support students with their personal care and daily routines, always ensuring dignity and safety
  • Help create a positive and inclusive environment. Encouraging students and independence and social skills.
  • Monitor and track student progress.

Essential experience

  • Experience working with SEN students specifically with ASD/ADHD
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring approach to working with children who have complex needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with ability to communicate with SEN students and parents
  • Proactive and flexible attitude.
