The basics:

Job Title: Mechanical operative - General operative

Role: Permanent

Location: Mansfield - Near Rainworth

Hours: 2 weeks days/2 weeks nights (37.5 hrs/week)

Mon-Thurs Days start 6, 7 or 7:30, giving a finish of 2:30, 3:30, 4 and (Fri) same start times, but only work 5.5 hrs.

Night shift: x3 10 hr shifts Mon-Weds with x1 7.5hrs Thurs. Start times between 4pm and 5pm.

Contracted hours per week: 37.5hrs

Pay: up to 28169 per annum DOE

Days = up to 12.40 per hour

Nights = up to 16.49 per hour

Overview

Working in first class manufacturing facilities for a company that have production sites across the world we now require additional Mechanical operative.

This is a permanent role employed directly to the company who can offer stability due to the products that they make.

The ideal candidate / Mechanical operative may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Any mechanical skills using handheld tools beneficial
  • Competent with computers to a basic level
  • Any measuring skills - using verniers/callipers etc.

The role:

You will play a key role in supporting production doing various duties such as de-burring and finishing by hand the components, moving components around the site to various departments, visually inspecting components, aiding machine setters with tool change overs, packing of components etc.
