Vacuum Forming Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Vacuum Forming Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the vacuum forming department, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision & Leadership:

    • Manage and train vacuum forming machine operators.
    • Assign tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficiency.
    • Foster a positive and safe working environment.
  2. Production Management:

    • Oversee vacuum forming processes to ensure timely and quality production.
    • Adjust machine settings to optimise production quality and minimise waste.
    • Coordinate with other departments, including design, maintenance, and quality control.
  3. Quality Control & Compliance:

    • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Maintain documentation of production and quality control records.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  4. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Perform routine checks and maintenance on vacuum forming machines.
    • Identify and resolve machine malfunctions to minimise downtime.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in vacuum forming, thermoforming, or plastic molding processes.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of machine operationsand maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
