Senior Team Leader

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Team Leader to join one of the UK's largest growers and packers of fresh produce based in March area. Our client supplies the country’s largest retailers and processors and aims to be market leaders through linking outstanding consumer insight, sustainable procurement, technical innovation, and operational efficiency to provide their customers with good quality products at great value.

We are looking to speak with candidates who can demonstrate strong work ethic, commitment along with willingness to contribute to this fantastic business.

Main requirement for the successful Senior Team Leader:

As a Senior Team Leader in Production, you will manage and drive team performance, ensuring safe practices at work, communicating with colleagues and other departments and ensuring production requirements are met to customer specifications.

  • Provide cover and assist the Production and Shift Managers to ensure seamless operations during absences or high-demand periods.
  • Oversee and verify the completion of all production orders, ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • inspire and encourage the team to achieve and exceed production targets, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Build strong relationships with other departments, facilitating effective communication to minimise operational downtime.
  • Lead and enforce compliance with all safety protocols, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Ensure the accurate collection, analysis, and dissemination of KPI data to the team.
  • Support the integration and training of new employees and temporary/agency workers, ensuring they understand processes and expectations.
  • Always ensure you adhere to company procedures, policies and guidelines.

Main requirements for the successful Senior Team Leader:

  • Strong Planning Background in fresh produce
  • Experience leading a team within a manufacturing environment
  • Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
  • Ability to communicate with management and Production staff.
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Be able to pay close attention to detail and adhere to company procedures
  • Be a decision maker, able to prioritise and work under pressure
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
