Job Title: Site Engineering Manager

Location: Wrexham (LL13 9UG)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 17:00 (Flexibility required)

About the Role

As a Site Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence within our production facilities. Working with leading retailers and maintaining our reputation for quality, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all employees and visitors.

  • Leading and developing a team of shift engineers through mentorship, appraisals, and performance management.

  • Managing planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.

  • Overseeing reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain production output.

  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives for plant efficiency and energy optimisation.

  • Managing contractors on-site to ensure effective and efficient operations.

  • Supporting the integration of new equipment and innovations in production facilities.

  • Managing team workloads and ensuring adequate resource allocation.

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicating expectations.

  • Ensuring the site remains audit-ready in collaboration with the technical team.

  • Working alongside the projects engineering team to support business growth.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within engineering.

  • Time-served multi-skilled engineer with hands-on capabilities.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

  • Experience in food manufacturing environments.
