Our client who are a global leader in Research and Development of consumer based products, based in Southampton, are looking for an Analytical Scientist to enable technical decision making and review technical resources and capability plus proposing novel approaches as part of a team.
The chosen individual must have practical experience in a range of analytical chemistry principles and techniques, quality and problem solving.

You will be accountable for applying technical knowledge as part of R&D project in support of internal and external reporting and project decision making and interpret stakeholder requirements and evaluate implementation.
It is essential that any applicant has a thorough knowledge and hands on experience and applications of best practices and validation for measurements of chemical constituents of food, environment and/or consumer product.
Also validation of complex analytical instrumentation including GC-MS, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS with associated high level problem solving skills.

The applicant MUST have skilled use and understanding of preparative and instrumental techniques applicable to the isolation and measurement of trace-level compounds in complex matrices.
Knowledge and interest in relevant aspects of emerging analytical science techniques, good planning skills and proficient at writing technical reports and presentations.

Suitable candidates will either have a Masters (in a Scientific related subject) or strong, relative, practical experience

This is an on site position based at the purpose-built R&D facility near Southampton and is expected to last for a minimum of 12 months

Hours:

Flexible working hours although core 'on site' hours are 9.30am - 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Pay:
21.89 per hour (PAYE)
29.41 per hour (Umbrella)
