Position: Freight Forwarder - Sea Imports
Location: Southampton
Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30-17:00 pm (37.5 per week)
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to 30,000 pa (DOE)

We now have an exciting opportunity for a freight forwarding operator to join our dynamic team based in Southampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any individuals with a basic level of experience in freight forwarding who are looking to develop their skills in deep-sea freight operations and customs declarations for a bonded warehouse.
You will gain hands-on experience with bonded warehousing, freight operations and customs declarations, learning from our dedicated team of freight professionals.

Freight Forwarder - Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Building strong working relationships with clients/shipping lines & agents, good negotiation skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Gaining a full understanding of our Bonded warehouse operation and inbound logistics.
- Ensure all import records are complete and correct prior to processing on E-customs and seek to rectify any identified errors with the relevant client or our inbound shipping department.
- General forwarding and administration duties through NetFreight i.e. invoicing & quotations.
- Assist with HMRC and client audits as and when required.
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be agreed from time to time
Experience required:
- 1-3 years working in the freight forwarding industry
- Basic knowledge of deep-sea import operations, documentation and customs declarations
- Experience with customs declaration for bonded warehouses is an advantage but training will be provided.
