Child Care Lawyer - Children Panel Accredited
Thanet, Kent
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

KHR are partnered with a well-established and highly respected legal practice in East Kent who are seeking a Child Care Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their busy Family Department.

The successful candidate will be Children Panel Accredited and possess strong advocacy skills, along with comprehensive experience in handling all aspects of children law.

Key Responsibilities of the Child Care Lawyer:

- Represent clients in a wide range of child care cases, including care and supervision orders, adoption, child protection, and child custody disputes
- Handle a varied caseload independently, managing meetings with social services, court appearances, and the drafting of legal documents, such as witness statements and court submissions
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in court proceedings, often appearing at family courts across Kent and occasionally at the High Court in London
- Advocate on behalf of children, parents, guardians, and family members, ensuring the welfare of the child is the priority.
- Work closely with the Children Guardian in representing the interests of children in court proceedings

Candidate Profile:

- Qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive with Children Panel Accreditation
- Strong advocacy skills and experience with litigation and dispute resolution within child care law
- Proven ability to manage a complex caseload and work independently, including remote work when required for court commitments
- Excellent client care skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism when handling sensitive and challenging cases
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ensuring attention to detail and excellent client care
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Competitive salary on offer depending on experience.
