Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of school premises to ensure all areas are safe and well-maintained.
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate with contractors for more significant maintenance needs.
- Ensure the security of the school buildings by managing access points and monitoring security systems.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events and activities.
- Manage the cleaning team to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the school.
- Respond to emergency situations or issues as they arise during school hours.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and safety checks.
- Experience in caretaking, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Good knowledge of basic repair and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting, moving equipment, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo this check).
