We are recruiting for CNC Operator/Setter to join a local manufacturing business as part of their growth plan. Salary offered will be up to £35,000 depending on your CNC Machining experience, your ability to use the machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. You will be expected to safely produce parts for the extensive range of products in a variety of materials to a broad range of tolerances, both individual 'one off' to batch quantities.

You should be able to work with good concentration and precision and be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are a must.

Responsibilities & Duties include

  • Preparing and operating CNC machines - ideally Mazak
  • Inspect and measure finished products, compare them with requirements to determine consistency and accuracy.
  • Check and maintain machinery to ensure functionality
  • Routinely checking and monitoring Machine Shop throughput/efficiencies
  • Comply with all the organisations HSEQ policy and procedure requirements - including Risk Assessments, PPE Instructions and other Safe Working Instructions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Solid experience in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
