Finance Analyst | East Kent | £35-40K

Our client, a market-leading business, are seeking to appoint an Finance Analyst on a permanent basis.The company are fast-paced, dynamic and the role will have a high-exposure to many different divisions within the business.

Key Duties -

  • Compile and publish regular reporting on operational data
  • Provide support to the Finance Business Partners in the provision, analysis, and reporting of operational and commercial performance.
  • Assist in -
    • the preparation of financial information for customer tenders
    • the production of gross margin budgets and forecasts
    • the preparation of budgets
    • the improvement of the companys Business Intelligence and other reporting systems and processes, this may include data modelling and helping to produce new reporting in Power BI depending on skill and aptitude (training can be provided)
    • the reporting and understanding of variances between weekly reporting and management account information.
  • Develop relationships across the business to understand their processes and reporting needs, proposing new reporting or improvements to existing reporting. Especially on the supply side with the procurement and supply chain teams and our growers
  • Contributing to ad hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function.

The ideal candidate will be -

PC Literate and working intermediate knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (to PivotTable and lookup level), Outlook, and Power BI

Excellent analytical/numerical skills, working with keen attention to detail

Good communication skills generally, able to present information in a clear, articulate, and concise manner

Accounts department experience (3 years +)

Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a busy team

Experience of working to daily deadlines/targets, with the ability to prioritise those deadlines
