Our client, a charitable organisation in Margate, is seeking a Driver's Mate to join their team temporarily.

In this role, you will support the driver with the collection and delivery of furniture and other items from donors’ homes while ensuring safe handling practices and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the driver with collecting and delivering furniture, including sofas, beds, tables, chairs, and more.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping practices in vans, warehouses, and shops.
  • Delivering and collecting items from charity shops and depots.
  • Clearing rubbish and sorting donations into appropriate storage.
  • Unloading donations from delivery vans and placing them in relevant storage areas.

  • A proactive and physically fit individual, due to the manual handling aspects of the role.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to following health and safety protocols.
