Learning Support Assistant

Full-time - £83.33-£90 per day - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in Year 4 with SEN. The child has ASD and ADHD and has a bespoke behaviour plan aimed at supporting them being engaged with education. This is for a school in Margate and shortlisting for the role is happening ASAP.

The school is accessible via public transport.

The Role

  • Working primarily with children with SEN on a 1:1, or small group basis.
  • SEN needs themselves range from ASD, ADHD and Behavioural Needs.
  • Assessing students’ progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as an LSA would be highly desirable.
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Experience working with Young Offenders or in an Intervention role is highly desirable.
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
