Job Title: Junior Estimator (Construction)

Role Overview:
As a Junior Estimator, you will assist in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects, including the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for construction projects based on project specifications and drawings.
- Prepare and analyse Bills of Quantities (BOQ), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review tender documentation, contract documents, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to ensure estimates are completed on time and within budget.
- Assist in preparing cost breakdowns and reports for clients and internal teams.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Track project costs and monitor cost deviations during the construction phase.
- Provide support in pricing changes, variations, and additional works as required.
- Ensure all estimating activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Key Requirements:
- A background in construction, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in estimating or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices.
- Experience with Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimation software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
