Job Description:
We are looking for General Operatives and Production Operatives to join our team in the Chilled Environment. Both roles require a strong work ethic, flexibility, and a willingness to do what’s needed to keep operations running smoothly. Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in the production environment.
General Operative:
- Responsibilities include manual handling, sorting and quality checking fruit, general loading duties, keeping work areas tidy and safe.
- Pay: £11.44 per hour, overtime after 44 hours at £13.09 per hour.
- Start Date: Monday, 11th November.
Production Operative:
- Responsibilities include basic administrative tasks (monitoring production line usage), loading trays, operating tray dispensers, ensuring product availability for the line, and using manual pallet trucks and hoists.
- Pay: £11.64 per hour.
- Start Date: Friday, 15th November.
Facilities:
- On-site canteen available.
- 24-hour McDonald’s just 30 yards away.
- Free parking and bus stops directly outside (Route 64 from Hanley to Shrewsbury, though public transport may not align well with start/finish times).
Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible shifts (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am).
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be able to provide 18 months' worth of references.
- Local candidates or those with reliable transport are preferred due to shift patterns and public transport limitations.

- General Operative: £11.44 per hour (Overtime after 44 hours at £13.09 per hour)
- Production Operative: £11.64 per hour
Shifts:
- 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am (4 days on, 4 days off)
