Office and Operations Assistant

Permanent

£28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

Monday to Friday 7am 4pm (with an early finish on a Friday)

Prince is working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Market Drayton who are looking for an Office and Operations Assistant to join their team. Working as part of a very closely knit team, they are looking for a real team player who is happy step up and help in any department to achieve the company goals. Our client offers a supportive and friendly work environment, and at times might need some flexibility from you, but is also very happy to offer that flexibility back where needed. The role below is more of an outline of what they need but are happy to mould the role around your strengths and talents if you are stronger in certain areas.

You will be responsible for:

Answer and manage office phones, providing excellent customer service.

Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations across all departments.

Assist with stock management and logistics coordination as needed.

Purchasing stock where required.

Updating databased with quality control information and ensuring quality control processes have been adhered to.

Basic account management with clients as you build rapport with them.

Updating the company website with new information (not mandatory, but if you have an interest in marketing then you can potentially take extra responsibility for this).

Provide support in the factory when necessary.

Occasionally using the small company van to deliver urgent items to help the team (usually done by the fleet of couriers but will occasionally need you to take a small urgent item out).

During holiday or absences, possibly having some flexibility to assist further to help the team.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in customer service or office administration is preferred.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Willingness to learn and adapt to various roles within the company.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
