The Opportunity:We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has a real eye for detail to join a dedicated poultry team.The Poultry Assistant will assist in the day to day operations of an innovatively run poultry farm. This includes tasks related to the care, feed and overall well being of the birds. An exceptional opportunity for someone to really progress and develop in this sector.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Farm Manager with the daily management of the birds to ensure they have excellent welfare, feed and water
  • Maintain accurate records of daily tasks; feed schedules, health observations and treatments
  • Maintain exceptional biosecurity measure on the farm at all times

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working with livestock, in particular poultry
  • The willingness and motivation to learn
  • The ability to work cohesively in a team
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks
  • Proficient in the use of computers

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of broiler/laying chickens
