Are you a compassionate and experienced care professional seeking a rewarding role? We are looking for a dedicated Complex Care Professional to provide essential support for an individual with complex care needs, including companionship and emotional assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care and companionship to an individual with complex needs.
  • Support the individual in managing daily routines, encouraging positive behavior and emotional well-being.
  • Assist in managing and responding to behaviors associated with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and self-harm tendencies.
  • Promote a safe and supportive environment, actively preventing self-harm through de-escalation and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Foster a trusting relationship and provide emotional support to reduce anxiety and isolation.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar complex care role.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors with empathy and patience.
  • Experience in working with individuals who have self-harming tendencies or mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, with a calm, reassuring demeanor.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and crisis management procedures.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive difference in their lives.

Desirable:

  • Training or experience with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA).
  • First Aid, Mental Health, or relevant care certifications.
