The ideal individual will have previously worked within a practice environment and have strong interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and will work well in a small friendly team environment. The role is a hybrid opportunity, and you will be working 2 days from home and 3 in the office after a successful training period.
Duties and responsibilities required:
- Carrying out month-end tasks including:
- Reviewing the P&L account and investigating variances to budgets/expected balances
- Reviewing the balance sheet to ensure control accounts are correctly reconciled
- Entering month end journals for prepayments, accruals, work in progress and deferred income
- Running monthly management reports to include financial statements and other required schedules e.g., headcount, capital expenditure, inventory levels
- Producing cost centre reports and consolidated group accounts, where appropriate
- Updating forecast models with month end actual data
- Assisting with annual budgeting for certain clients, loading budgets into management reporting application and accounting software
- Preparing reports to support claims for government grant funding for research and development work
- ACCA qualified / studying / QBE
