Health and Safety Advisor

We are currently looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor at our Market Harborough (Leicestershire) office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive professional to join an established team and deliver excellent customer service and ongoing support to clients.

The Role:

  • Provide comprehensive Health & Safety management support to educational establishments and other clients as required.

  • Assist clients in ensuring their working practices are safe and comply with legislation.

  • Support the development of local policies and procedures.

  • Conduct and support risk assessments.

  • Undertake management audits/reviews, producing reports with suggested improvements.

  • Perform inspections, document findings, and recommend improvements.

  • Support property-related health and safety matters, including fire safety, asbestos, and legionella management.

  • Develop and deliver CPD-accredited health & safety training, including asbestos management, accident investigation, and manual handling.

  • Attend Governor Meetings as required.

  • Conduct and support accident investigations, including report production and RIDDOR reporting.

  • Review and provide guidance on educational visits in line with national guidance.

  • Produce newsletters and bulletins.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar outsourced health and safety support role.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in health and safety.

  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is required.

  • Comfortable using digital and cloud-based systems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions.

  • Team player with a willingness to support the wider team when necessary.

  • Flexibility and adaptability.

  • Full UK driving licence.
