Electrical Design Engineer

An established manufacturing company is seeking a Electrical DesignEngineer to lead the design and manufacture of electric furnaces for global delivery.They have anextensive portfolio of standard and custom-designed electric furnaces, ovens and thermal analysers. This role involves working closely with the management and sales team to provide technical and commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical aspects of furnace design and manufacturing.
• Estimate and calculate electrical power loads based on customer specifications.
• Develop 2D electrical wiring drawings and collaborate with the design team.
• Work alongside the commercial team to provide technical support.
• Create specification sheets for custom-made furnaces.
• Ensure documentation compliance with ISO quality standards.
• Liaise with suppliers to gather technical information.
• Assist clients in resolving technical concerns.
• Support the production team with technical input.

Requirements:

• Degree-level qualification or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in the manufacturing of electrical equipment/systems is essential.
• Strong knowledge of thermal controllers and their programming.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred).
• Understanding of thermal insulation principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with CRM software.
• Knowledge of different materials used in manufacturing.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
• Understanding of PLC systems (advantageous but not mandatory).
