Plug Me In, part of the Calisen Group, are seeking a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic Procurement team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. This position is ideal for someone with experience in procurement who is ready to contribute to the company’s operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submit Requests for Quote (RFQs) to obtain competitive pricing and Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather data from suppliers.
  • Place and track orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and services.
  • Maintain cost records, analyse costs, and report any variances.
  • Support the Purchasing Lead in identifying and managing new suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on market trends and potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and pricing with suppliers under the guidance of the Purchasing Lead.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to meet installation project needs.
  • Provide back-office support to fitters, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential
    • Good standard of education (GCSEs including English & Maths or equivalent).
    • Proven experience in a purchasing coordinator or similar procurement role.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
    • Experience using web-based procurement or inventory management systems.
    • Strong organisational and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable
    • Knowledge of market trends within the renewable energy sector.
    • Familiarity with procurement regulations and compliance.
    • Basic understanding of vendor and inventory management.

This role requires occasional travel to support the business. Applicants must pass a basic criminal record check and be able to provide references covering the last 5 years.
