We are recruiting for a Childrens Residential Support Worker based within the Market Harborough area of Leicestershire to work within 3 self-contained flats holding the capacity to house up to 3 families at any one time. Families utilising this type of service may include parents with moderate to high learning needs, those presenting with issues around domestic violence, and or substance/alcohol misuse.
Additionally, they may have experienced mental ill health and/or trauma. During their stay, the parents will be supported in their parenting by staff, whilst being assessed by Leicestershire County Council Children's Service. The team is supportive in its approach, with our primary aim revolving around promoting best practices, through guidance, role modelling, key work sessions and practical advice on matters relating to concerns, risk, safety, routines, and boundaries.
Whilst Market Harborough will be your base location, you must be flexible to travel throughout the locality to support our other homes should the need arise. These are located in Leicester, Hinckley, Coalville, Mountsorrel and Syston.
Essential requirements to evidence in your written application of a Childrens Residential Support Worker;
- Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR be willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe which will be paid for by the employer.
- Driver with access to own car.
- Relevant experience working with families in a similar setting.
- Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Week 1; Mon, Wed and Sat (1 x 24hrs, 2 x 14hrs)
Week 2; Tues, Fri and Sun (1 x 24hrs, 2 x 14hrs)
Week 3; Thurs only (1 x 24 hrs)
24hrs = 10am - 10am
14 hrs = 8am - 10pm
£24,398 - £29,172 (plus a £3,000 per year allowance)
