We are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience in Civil Engineering and Portal Frame Construction and can work on steel frame building projects. This is a position based at an office in Market Rasen, where you will be involved in custom-designed steel frame building projects and the associated infrastructure. You will be responsible for estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.

Duties of a Quantity SurveyorIn this role, you will be working in the Quantity Surveying team to manage and oversee various steel frame building projects. Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing tender and contract documents• Estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour• Assigning work to subcontractors• Valuing completed work and managing budgets• Ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards• Following building regulations and health and safety• Preparing and analysing cost estimates• Assisting with day-to-day project management• Conducting site visits as required

Skills and Experience of a Quantity SurveyorAs a Quantity Surveyor, you should have experience with:

• At least 3 years of experience in Civil Engineering and Portal Frame Construction• Excellent computer knowledge• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

It would be beneficial to the Quantity Surveyor role if you also had:

• A valid driving license• Experience in steel frame building projects• Knowledge of construction regulations and health & safety standards
