Reed Accountancy are currently working with a rapidly expanding business based in Swindon who pride themselves on their high-quality products. As they continue to grow they are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.Â

Position Overview:As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will assist in various accounting and administrative tasks that ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Handle account calls and emails and put together suggested weekly payment schedules.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other relevant tax documentation.
- Support the financial team in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve any financial queries.
- Assist with audit preparation and ensure timely completion of any required financial documentation.
- Provide general administrative support to the Financial Director and the wider finance team.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, or similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks), stock system software (ideally Unleashed), and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving financial processes.
- Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and general tax regulations.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
