The Role:
As a Chef, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through nutritious, delicious meals. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing high-quality meals tailored to residents' needs and preferences.
- Supporting the chef manager in overseeing the catering team and daily kitchen operations.
- Assisting in menu planning to ensure a variety of balanced and appetizing dishes.
- Promoting and maintaining food hygiene and safety standards, including conducting risk assessments.
- Taking charge of the kitchen and staff in the absence of the Chef Manager.
We're looking for an experienced, proactive, and passionate chef who thrives in a people-centered environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- A friendly, approachable demeanour, comfortable interacting with residents, their families, and guests.
- Proven experience as a chef within a catering or hospitality setting.
- A valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
- A passion for producing high-quality, nutritious food.
- A positive, can-do attitude with strong initiative and leadership skills.
- City & Guilds 7061 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering for the Hospitality Industry.
