Our client is a rapidly growing contractor with key long term clients with new build and refurbishment/maintenance works.

The role will require the quantity surveyor to manage the commercial resources of the various projects to maximise cash flow and margin. The candidate will also be expected to support the project team with commercial and contractual expertise. Assess, review and mitigate risk while implementing policies

  • Leading the commercial management of multiple sites to maximise cash flow and margins
  • Pricing and management of variation accounts both upstream and downstream
  • Resolving commercial issues
  • Client Liaison
  • Liaison and co-ordination with site delivery team to collate information on day to day basis.
  • Providing site delivery team with commercial and contractual expertise
  • Subcontractor management
  • Change management and early warnings
  • Contract administration (JCT and NEC)
  • Cost Valuation Reconciliation and Cash flow forecast management / preparation
  • Experience of working on social housing refurbishment projects
  • Experience of working on measured term contracts
  • Material procurement
  • Sub-contractor procurement and management
  • Experience of using a Schedule of rates as a pricing mechanism
  • Proven track record in successfully managing a project
  • Proficient IT Skills with a range of Microsoft office packages is essential
  • Understanding and usage of Microsoft Projects / Astra Projects
  • Ability to co-ordinate and liaise direct labour / labour gangs
