Role - Senior Financial Accountant

Location - High Wycombe (Hybrid)

Salary - £60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus

I am working with a global multinational IT services companies on the search for a Senior Financial Accountant to support the preparation and review of group management accounts, statutory financial statements, and monthly reporting activities.

The ideal candidate will be Qualified ACA/ACCA and come from an accounting practise with strong knowledge of IFRS and technical reporting. This role would be suited to a first time mover looking for a step into industry or someone who has a few years in industry with a practise background. 

Responsibilities -

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, including the posting of journal entries, reconciliation, and the completion of month-end close activities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and facilitate the audit process by preparing and providing required schedules and information.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal policies.
  • Conduct group conciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Perform internal audits and develop control procedures to ensure adherence to financial regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Stay updated with accounting standards and industry best practises

Requirements -

  • Fully Qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Good understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP, with the ability to interpret and apply these standards in an industry setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong data manipulation and analysis skills.
  • Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of consolidation and group reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Team player who can collaborate effectively across functions while also working independently when needed.
