We have a very exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join a successful consultancy near Marlow.

The company is long established and has a well-recognised brand, the role has different areas of activity including: managing and running international events, publication of a magazine and compiling research reports.

You will take responsibility for all marketing activities. Events, Media (online and print) and research. This role will involve running multiple campaigns, to promote different products.

Travel outside the office, including overseas is part of the role, particularly in respect of their events and exhibitions.

Salary £40,000 - £50,000 depending on level of experience, hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 working from home.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Monitor their image in the marketplace and take "ownership" of the brand values.
  • Develop appropriate marketing communication campaigns for the company’s subscriptions and products.
  • Develop media plans providing strategic thinking behind ad placement, rates and response.
  • Build on email marketing delivery with emphasis on data segmentation and targeting.
  • Manage and cleanse databases and monitor the subscription process, feeding this information through to data sources.
  • Monitor and interpret live campaigns to identify any issues and optimization steps.
  • Liaise with external clients to ensure successful delivery of their email marketing campaigns.
  • Evaluate, recommend and develop their online marketing presence, building into the marketing strategy / networking and marketing online media / options. i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter etc
  • Devise, plan and implement cost effective, targeted marketing campaigns for Events.
  • Identify and select both internal and external data, to ensure you target the right audiences.
  • Manage paid search campaigns and budgets
  • Manage weekly and monthly reporting and tracking, flagging issues to the Managing Director and report metric / results appropriately
  • Drive the positioning of their online portal to an international marketplace
  • Effectively manage outside partnerships to maximise ROI
  • Lead and develop online communities
  • Work with the editor to develop topical features and supplements

Experience required:

  • You will have least three years’ marketing experience working on a portfolio of ideally Events, Publishing or research
  • Experience of direct marketing, ideally in conferences or B2B environment
  • Proven knowledge and experience in new media and online marketing/sales/ development of products
  • Understanding of key principles of database marketing
  • Experience in interfacing with advertising/design/PR agencies/printers
  • Knowledge or experience of content management systems and web programming basics such as html and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge with email marketing products such as Mailchip
  • Experience of managing multiple concurrent marketing campaigns
  • Advanced writing skills and experience of writing brochures and press releases
  • Creative and analytical experience, to be able to exercise good judgment in think of new ways to reach target audiences
  • Positive attitude and ability to think on your feet and to be ambitious, dynamic and self-motivated person who will drive forward new ideas
  • Fluent in a European Language, (not essential)
