A Commercial Contracts Officer is required by a successful engineering business. Applicants should be Law/Business graduates (LPC/GDL would also work), or have experience with commercial agreements or contracts in a B2B environment.
The Commercial Contracts Officer will join a small commercial team responsible for day-to-day contracts administration and contract management tasks. This is an exciting full contract lifecycle commercial role, in which the jobholder will support bid/tender activities, manage/administer "in life" contracts and be responsible for contract risk mitigation and governance.
Specific duties of the Commercial Contracts Officer include:
- Provide commercial support to the business in relation to confidentiality and intermediary contracts
- Review new and existing customer contracts - summarising key clauses, spotting opportunity and mitigating risk
- Support bids/tenders and new business opportunities with customers from a commercial contracts perspective
- Collaboration with colleagues across; engineering, projects, sales etc
- Maintain Contract Management database
Commercial Contracts Officer applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous experience in a commercial contracts, B2B role would be highly desirable
- Degree in Law/Business or a qualification such as LPC/GDL etc.
- Knowledge of contract law
- Ability to identify commercial opportunities and risks
- Collaborative, relationship builder
