We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our clients team and manage a range of commercial projects in Marlow. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical aspects of projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the mechanical contracts for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
- Coordinate mechanical engineering works including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems from design through to installation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources for mechanical works.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely project delivery.
- Lead and support the mechanical site teams, providing guidance and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and costs, proactively identifying and resolving issues or delays.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, forecasts, and financial updates to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all necessary materials and resources are procured and delivered on time.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with contract specifications.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, with a strong background in commercial projects.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Experience in managing multiple mechanical contracts simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Familiarity with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and quality control processes.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, project management, or construction (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
