Our client has been providing independent financial advice to individual and corporate clients since 1990’s. Due to on going success require a further Paraplanner.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all paperwork, meeting preparation and activities for a dedicated list of private clients.
  • To provide research support and solutions to the Financial Planning team.
  • Preparation of compliant advice reports, letters, and recommendations.
  • Liaising with the Financial Planner and Investment Team to provide recommendations and solutions.
  • Ensure all recommendations meet with company standards.
  • Complete calculations such as carry forward, Inheritance Tax, CGT etc.
  • Responsible for timely preparation of content & identify planning requirements for annual PSA review meetings.
  • Attendance at client meetings with the adviser - completing the detailed meeting file note.
  • Preparation and presentation to clients of cash flow models using Voyant software.
  • Assisting with the preparation / review of compliance documentation.
  • Attend weekly task meetings with advisers to provide updates on ongoing cases.
  • Bi-weekly Team meetings to review and agree priorities and workloads.
  • Peer review and assisting with training of trainee team members.
  • Completion of own CPD within an agreed Training & Competence programme.
  • Improvement of own knowledge and skills on a continual basis via professional qualifications.
  • Assisting the financial planning administrator as needed and in consideration of a risk-based approach (ie: more complex cases will need more experienced intervention). This will involve various tasks such as:

o Liaising directly with clients and product providers.

o Seeing new business through to completion.

o LOA research and resulting reporting.

o Dealing with client queries and post meeting tasks

o Ensuring the financial planning administrator has all the information needed to prepare new business and reporting documentation ahead of meetings.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar paraplanning role.
  • Have a "Can-do" attitude.
  • Salary up to £50,000 this however is negotiable dependent on experience.
  • Minimum Level 4 qualification
  • Prior experience working as a paraplanner for HNW private clients.
  • Using a range of software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Xplan, Powerpoint.
  • A strong working knowledge of Voyant (cash flow modelling tool).
  • The ability to manage own time and work to deadlines.
  • Hybrid working, two from home
