Job Title: Paint Prep Team Leader

Salary:Up to £42,000.00 per annum

Purpose of the Role:
As a Paint Prep Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering our manufacturing plan, ensuring all aspects of Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety are met. You will assist the department supervisor and act as a deputy when needed, overseeing day-to-day operations and providing technical guidance to the prep team.

Key Responsibilities for a Paint Prep Team Leader:

Prepare surfaces of components by sanding, cleaning, and masking them to ensure they are free of dust, oils, or contaminants.

Deliver jobs on time, ensuring all requirements are met.

Maintain strict adherence to the companys quality assurance standards.

Complete all necessary paperwork for each job in full.

Ensure the work area is kept clean and organised.

Assist the Production Supervisor (Paint) in allocating jobs to operators, maximising workflow.

Provide technical support and guidance to team members, assisting with the maintenance of the training matrix.

Adhere to all necessary SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) regulations.

Provide feedback on product design, highlighting issues when needed.

The Paint Prep Team Leader should have the following Skills & Experience:

Previous manufacturing experience

Background in leading a team

Strong knowledge of finishing and prepping techniques.

Awareness of SHE issues and best practices.

Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Accurate attention to detail and high standards of work.

Excellent time management and timekeeping skills.
