The Role of the Pastry Sous Chef
We have a fantastic opportunity for a strong and talented Pastry Sous Chef to be part of our team.
We are looking for a Pastry Sous Chef to head up the pastry section in the hotel. Ideal candidates should have a 1-2 rosette or higher background.
You will need to be versatile as we have a bar/room service menu, restaurant a la carte as well as a weekly TDH and conference lunches and private dinners.
You will need ability to work alone.
Ideal candidates should have the following attributes :-
1.You should have previous experience working as a Pastry Chef in a busy environment
2.Excellent traditional pastry skills using fresh ingredients
3. Excellent communication skills and a great team spirit
4. A Can do attitude
Role Criteria
The ideal Pastry Chef will have previous 4 or 5 star hotel experience or worked within quality 1-2 AA Rosette restaurants
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for assisting in maintaining high levels of hygiene and health and safety
The Pastry Chef will be responsible for junior staff development and ensuring high levels of food standards are achieved
The Pastry Chef will be reporting directly into the Head Chef
Pastry Chef must be passionate and the ability to cope under pressure
The successful Pastry Chef will have at least 2 years experience at level within a similar operation.
