Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role is part of an Electronic Warfare (EW) programme and offers hybrid working arrangements. Candidates must be SC cleared or able to obtain SC clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing embedded software using C/C++ within an Electronic Warfare context
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test software solutions
- Writing and maintaining efficient and reliable code
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Ensuring software meets all requirements and industry standards
- Debugging and resolving software issues
- Documenting software development processes and technical specifications
- Adhering to project deadlines and milestones
Job Requirements:
- Experience in embedded software engineering
- Proficiency in Embedded C/C++
- Understanding of software engineering principles and practices
- Experience within the Defence & Security sector, particularly in EW programmes, is highly beneficial
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- SC clearance or eligibility to obtain SC clearance
