International Trade Compliance Manager

Are you an expert in international trade compliance looking to lead and shape a compliance function within a dynamic organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for an International Trade Compliance Manager to drive strategic initiatives and ensure adherence to global trade regulations.
About the Role:
As the International Trade Compliance Manager, you will oversee and enhance trade compliance processes, ensuring full alignment with UK, EU, and US export control regulations (EAR/ITAR). You will lead a dedicated team, provide expert guidance, and collaborate across departments to support business growth while maintaining compliance excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the trade compliance function, ensuring adherence to global export control laws.
Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.
Provide expert advice on US, UK, and EU export regulations, including licensing requirements.
Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Deliver training and guidance on compliance best practices across the organisation.
Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including sales, engineering, supply chain, and regulatory bodies.
Assess and classify technology, hardware, and software to ensure appropriate authorisation and controls for exports and imports.
What Were Looking For:
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
A proactive and strategic thinker who can drive change and process improvements.
Excellent communication and influencing abilities, able to work effectively across all levels of the business.
Deep knowledge of UKML, Dual-Use, USML, EAR, ITAR, and related export control regulations.
A Bachelors degree in International Trade or a relevant field.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance while supporting business objectives.
The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) is essential candidates who do not meet this requirement cannot be considered.
