A dedicated and compassionate school based in High Wycombe and Marlow is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and challenging behaviour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences and support to students.
  • Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour with a calm and professional approach.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Support students' personal development and wellbeing, ensuring they are engaged and motivated.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience with Special Needs:

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with students who have ASD, MLD, SLD, and/or challenging behaviour. A genuine interest in helping children with special needs is essential.

  • Ability to Manage Challenging Behaviour:

The successful candidate should have experience or the willingness to work with students displaying challenging behaviour and be able to apply effective strategies to support them.

  • DBS Requirement

The candidate must be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and welfare of all students.

  • Professional References: The candidate must be able to provide two professional references to support their application.
