VP Business Development & Sales EuropeLocation: UK or SwedenOur client provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets requiring advanced technology and high reliability. These markets include aerospace and defence, factory automation, environmental monitoring, electronics design, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research.Job DescriptionYou will oversee business development and sales in the European region, identifying and pursuing strategic opportunities for Defence products. Your role includes increasing sales and market share, leading and developing the Business Development Team, and managing a $1B pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Focus on regional growth strategy and profitability.
  • Manage the sales process with an emphasis on predictable growth.
  • Meet or exceed bookings forecast for the region.
  • Mentor and lead the Business Development Team of 20 with 5 direct reports
  • Travel approximately 130 days annually within the region.
Key Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree educated; Masters preferred.
  • 10 years of strategic selling, with a focus on government / defence sales in Europe.
  • Proven business development and leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of European OEM procurement and EU government processes.
  • Familiarity with ITAR and European export regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Competent in MS Office and MS CRM.
