Accounts Semi Senior

£28-32k Study Support + Exceptional Benefits package

Eaton Syalon are partnering with an Accountancy Practice in South Derbyshire to hire an Accounts Semi-Senior into their team. If you have recently completed your AAT studies and keen to join a dynamic business which will offer true progression opportunity and a full study support package (ACCA) we would love to hear from you.

As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will work closely with the Accounts team and Associate Partner to deliver exceptional services to clients, while developing the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in your career.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, corporate tax returns, and personal tax returns
  • Identify potential tax planning opportunities and escalate to senior team members
  • Liaise directly with clients to collect financial information, resolve accounting queries, and ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records using accounting software
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial records and reports
  • Support & mentoring of more junior team members

We would love to talk to you if you have 2/3 years within a practice setting As Accounts Assistant or Accounts Semi Senior, if you have your AAT qualification (Or you are nearly there!) this would be ideal. Its not a necessity that you go on to study further, however if you are keen to do this our client will offer to support ACCA along with career progression opportunities within the group. Its likely you will also have experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel along with strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
