Principal Auditor 

We are working with a client who are looking for a Principal Auditor to work for a local authority to oversee and support the delivery of the audits in Q4 to conclude the annual audit plan.

Start date: December 2024Rate: Negotiable dependant on experience - Inside IR35 via umbrella Location: East MidlandsDuration: Until March 2025, with likely extensions beyond this Requirements: 

  • Work will include overseeing / completing follow up audits / activity in Q4 to ensure audits delivery that resulted in recommendations and actions are followed up
  • The Principal Auditor should be qualified, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and be able to support delivery for the Audit Manager in a small team
  • Financial background would be advantageous as the remaining audits are financial in nature
  • The Principal Auditor will be fully integrated into the Council's management team and work closely with the audit manager and 2 other Principal Auditors

The role is Hybrid and work may be required in the office to support delivery i.e., face to face meetings and coaching / quality assurance with senior auditors but specific hours of work as negotiable depending on workload
