Job Opportunity: Site Manager (Grade 1 Listed Building Restoration)
Location: Matlock, Derbyshire
Salary: 40,000 - 50,000 (DOE)
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in restoring Grade 1 listed buildings to join our team. This role is based in Matlock, with projects located within a 1-hour radius. If you have hands-on experience as a time-served joiner or builder and have progressed into site management, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage restoration projects on Grade 1 listed buildings, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
- Coordinate site operations, ensuring health and safety standards are met and project deadlines are adhered to.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and conservation officers to ensure restoration work meets required specifications and heritage regulations.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
- Solve on-site problems and manage day-to-day challenges to keep the project on track.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working on restoration projects, particularly on Grade 1 listed buildings.
- A time-served joiner or builder with practical knowledge who has transitioned into a Site Manager role.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and heritage preservation specifications.
- Proficient in managing multiple trades and ensuring the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in listed building restoration.
- Knowledge of heritage conservation practices and regulations.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
