Altum Consulting has been retained by one the UK's leading automotive retailers to find them an experienced Change Lead. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Change Lead will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the change management strategy (already written and approved) for the delivery of Workday. You'll collaborate closely with the Change Manager and HRBP team to guide and execute change management activities across various workstreams within the programme. The Change Lead will ensure comprehensive training for all stakeholders, promote optimal utilisation of the system across the business, and aim to minimise issues post-implementation.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement a comprehensive change management strategy for the Workday implementation, aligning with the organisation's goals and project timeline
  • Apply a recognised change management framework, such as Kotter's 8-Step Change Model, to guide and structure change management activities effectively
  • Work closely with the Change Manager to coordinate activities and ensure a unified approach to managing change across the programme
  • Work closely with the HRBP team, a key network through which you will deliver the change to the business
  • Working with the comms team, engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to communicate change effectively, ensuring understanding and buy-in for the Workday implementation
  • Working with the training team, oversee the development and delivery of training programs to ensure all stakeholders are equipped to use the new system effectively
  • Monitor and address issues arising from the change implementation, aiming to keep disruptions and stakeholder concerns to a minimum
  • Ensure high adoption rates and effective utilisation of the new system across the business through continuous monitoring and targeted support interventions
  • Draft and distribute clear and concise communications to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress, key milestones, and any changes to the implementation plan

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in leading change management initiatives, particularly for major HR system implementations like Workday
  • Demonstrated experience applying structured change management frameworks, with a preference for Kotter's 8-Step Change Model
  • Proven ability to design and implement comprehensive training programs related to new system adoptions
  • The ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to identify and resolve issues swiftly and effectively
