This is an excellent training opportunity involving both manual and CNC machining of parts prior to the forging process. The role requires effective communication with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Machine parts to specified drawings.
- Operate both manual and CNC machines.
- Work in a fast-paced operation, receiving material from the Saw Department
- Deliver machined parts to the Forging Department.
- Communicate with different departments to plan workload and optimise cell utilisation.
- Work safely and responsibly, maintaining high standards of workplace housekeeping.
- Plan work efficiently to maximise machine utilisation.
- Book work and record time against jobs.
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.
- Receive cross-training for other front-end positions.
- Experience in CNC/Manual machining.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Competence in basic IT skills.
- Team player, but also capable of working independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Positive outlook with a determined, can-do attitude.
- Flexible and adaptable to business needs.
