The Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with special educational needs within our esteemed Secondary School in North Derbyshire. Collaborating closely with the school's inclusion team, you will contribute to creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEND, ensuring their unique learning needs are met and progress is closely monitored.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and personalised support strategies tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Behavioural Guidance: Foster positive behaviour management techniques and encourage social development among students.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing educational materials and resources, adapting them to suit the needs of students with various learning abilities.
  • Personal Care: Provide additional support for students with physical disabilities or medical requirements, ensuring their well-being during school hours.
