A driving licence and access to a car is essential for this position as it requires tutoring in a student's home (fuel expenses paid).

LTF have partnered with a secondary school located in the Derbyshire (NG10) region to source a talented academic mentor to support students. The role will involve supporting students in KS3 and KS4 across a wide range of subjects on a 1:1 basis. The role is 3 days per week, with flexibility to choose your own 3 working days, 9:00am - 1:00pm.

The school are looking for an ambitious and driven individual who can work independently with students in order to ensure academic progression for a variety of differing abilities. The majority of the position is based within the school setting, however it will require travel to a students home.

The schools are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is a competent tutor/educator with at least one years' experience
  • Has an understanding of supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
  • Has excellent communication skills and can build relationships quickly
  • Will be reliable and consistent staff member
  • Is dedicated to working with students in order to raise attainment

The main duties of this role are:

  • Working with KS3 and KS4 students (secondary)
  • Delivering content on a 1:1 basis with students behind target grade
  • Working with students in preparation for examinations and assessments
  • Liaising with subject teachers to devise effective improvement strategies
