Client Details

Our client is a multi site c. £180 million turnover global manufacturing business. You will be based at one of its sites in Derby c. 2-3 days per week, and you will be working the other days from home (if desired).

Description

This is a Group level FP&A opportunity and you will be working closely with the Group FD, CFO and Site Finance Controllers across 9 manufacturing sites. You will be providing the business with analytical data and analysis, which will support management with business making decisions. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Providing FP&A support to the Site Finance Controllers, relating to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.
  • Partnering with the finance/operation teams and central FP&A Group to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
  • Identify and understand business challenges, and propose and create solutions.
  • Dive deeply into financial data to provide additional insights.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvements
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels.
  • Serve as a liaison for the investor relations team, managing the earnings guidance scenario modelling, including executive presentation, Q&A support, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Supporting the Group Finance Director with year end and statutory accounts production.

Profile

To apply for this position,:

  • You will have experience of working in management accounts
  • You will have some experience of working in commercial finance, which might include analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business partnering etc..
  • You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • You will ideally be studying an accounting qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA or AAT, but this is not essential
  • It would be advantageous to have worked in manufacturing, but this is not essential
