Based in the East Midlands, the role centres around providing commercial and strategic advice to the Board, managing cashflow in a capital-intensive sector, and handling banking relationships.
As CFO you'll will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, driving the company's growth and will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing insights to support decision-making.
This role sits as part of the board of directors and is perfect for a proven finance professional looking to take the next step in their career within a forward thinking and collaborative leadership team.Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to drive profitability and growth.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes to support business objectives.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and banks.
- Ongoing improvement of the finance function to include people, processes and systems.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven track record at FD / CFO level in a SME, ideally with experience within a capital-intensive sector.
You will be a credible and confident senior finance professional, used to adding value and advising at board level to help shape strategic decision making.
Fist class communication skills are essential, as are the leadership qualities required to develop and energise a high performing finance team.
Package on offer: £100k - £130k + benefits
