Transport Support Officer – SEND

Start: Mon 8th January, 2025

Rate: £20.72 per hour, umbrella Inside IR35

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

  • Daily Operations: Supervise the coordination and delivery of day-to-day transport services for SEND students, ensuring timely and reliable transportation to and from educational settings
  • Transport Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient transport schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to timetables
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for schools, transport providers, and parents, ensuring clear communication and resolution of operational concerns
  • Operational Problem-Solving: Respond promptly to transport incidents, service disruptions, or complaints, coordinating with relevant parties to implement effective solutions
  • Team Player: assist the managers in supporting and supervising team colleagues
  • Contract Management: Liaise with transport providers to monitor compliance with contractual terms, ensuring high service standards and addressing performance issues promptly
  • Excellent IT competency levels
  • Great communicator, familiar with the legislation around home to school transport, and have excellent time management and organisational skills
