Transport Support Officer – SEND
Start: Mon 8th January, 2025
Rate: £20.72 per hour, umbrella Inside IR35
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Largely remote working but with 1-2 days per week onsite
Location: Midlands
Candidates must have the following essential skills and experience:
- Daily Operations: Supervise the coordination and delivery of day-to-day transport services for SEND students, ensuring timely and reliable transportation to and from educational settings
- Transport Planning and Scheduling: Develop and manage efficient transport schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to timetables
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary contact for schools, transport providers, and parents, ensuring clear communication and resolution of operational concerns
- Operational Problem-Solving: Respond promptly to transport incidents, service disruptions, or complaints, coordinating with relevant parties to implement effective solutions
- Team Player: assist the managers in supporting and supervising team colleagues
- Contract Management: Liaise with transport providers to monitor compliance with contractual terms, ensuring high service standards and addressing performance issues promptly
- Excellent IT competency levels
- Great communicator, familiar with the legislation around home to school transport, and have excellent time management and organisational skills
